My name is Melissa and I am the owner-operator of To The Letter Transcripts, a transcription and proofreading company in Perth, Western Australia. In 2007 I graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in linguistics and anthropology. I am currently studying a Certificate of Professional Editing and Proofreading.
I have worked in the transcription industry since I was 19 years old and I became a stenographer at the age of 24. I have been employed at the High Court of Australia, the State Parliament of Western Australia and the County and Supreme Courts of Victoria.
To ensure a quick turnaround, I use stenography to produce all transcripts ordered through To The Letter Transcripts. The best Qwerty typists type at about 110 to 120 wpm, but the average rate of English speech is generally around 160 wpm, with some speakers reaching 200+ wpm. Trained stenographers can write at least 180 words per minute with at least 98 per cent accuracy. Machine shorthand remains the most efficient and technologically advanced means of transcription in the world today.
I pride myself on:
- producing accurate transcripts – fast!
- adhering to deadlines
- protecting confidentiality
- ensuring data security
- providing affordable rates
Outsourcing your transcription work to me will allow you to get on with other things and save you time and money. Head over to the rates page to discover just how affordable it can be or contact me now at firstname.lastname@example.org.
